The Rozone team have successfully prepared operations in line with Brexit arrangements, to maintain the flow of Rozone goods between the United Kingdom and the European Union.

The UK formally left the EU on the 31st of January 2020 and has now left the transitional period which allowed us to remain part of the EU Single Market and Customers Union, as of the 1st of January 2021. Terms of trade have now changed, and we are required to comply with import rules as any other non-EU country. This means added customs declarations when transporting goods from the UK to EU.

Importer into the EU

To ensure a smooth transition, Rozone will now act as the importer into the EU, completing all customs paperwork and handling tariffs, to ensure EU customers notice a minimal difference in how they trade with us.

For most of our customers, we typically produced the goods, which were then shipped off to their final destination in an ex-works transaction. This meant ownership of the goods passed to the customer once they left Rozone warehouses. We are now switching to a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) process, which means ownership of goods will not pass to customers until they arrive at their warehouses.

This will allow us to complete all relevant paperwork and documents, maintaining our standard of operations. Any additional costs due to customs declarations will be handled by us, to minimise customer disruption.

We understand there may be initial delays in Q1 2021 as companies get used to the new trading rules and ports may be busy. We have put appropriate measures in place to ensure transit times remain the same for our customers.

We thank our customers and suppliers for their continued support. If there are any queries, please contact us on 0121 526 8181.
